GOOD NEWS FOR BICYCLISTS IN THE MARION STAR... "The Ohio Department of Transportation could begin construction as early as next month on a project that would make improvements to a one-mile stretch of Ohio 95 East.

ODOT announced the tentative schedule Monday. The safety improvement project includes new turn lanes, upgraded signage, striping, resurfacing, wider shoulders, BIKE LANES and signal and drainage improvements from University Drive to Blevins Boulevard.

The department added the BIKE LANES and walkways to its plans in response to community concerns raised during an open house Jan. 31, 2012, at Tri-Rivers Career Center."
